Flat rate, not hourly
You agree to the price before the work starts.
We quote the job, not the hour. Before a plumber picks up a tool you get a flat price for the work, and that is the figure on the invoice when it is finished.
This matters more than it sounds. On an hourly bill, a job that turns out to be awkward costs you more, so you are paying for the part of the work nobody could predict. On a flat rate that risk sits with us. A slow job and a fast job cost you the same.
The dispatch fee
$99 during regular hours, and what it pays for.
During regular business hours there is a $99 dispatch fee to come out. It covers a licensed plumber driving to your house and finding out what is actually wrong, which is work whether or not you decide to go ahead afterwards.
You are told about it when you book, it is on this page, and it is on the invoice. It is not added later and it is not folded into something else.
How a job runs
Four steps, and you approve the price at step three.
- 01
You call and we book it
You are told the dispatch fee at this point, before anyone is dispatched.
- 02
A licensed plumber diagnoses it
We find the cause rather than treating what you can see. This is what the dispatch fee pays for.
- 03
You get a flat price
In writing, for the work we recommend. If you decide not to go ahead, that is the end of it and you owe the dispatch fee only.
- 04
We do the work
At the price you agreed, backed by a one-year limited warranty on parts and workmanship.
Where the money goes
Why a licensed plumber is not the cheapest option.
The price of a repair is rarely the price of the part. A fitting that costs a few dollars at the hardware store sits inside a job that also includes the plumber's time, the diagnosis that identified the right fix, and the years of training behind knowing which fix is right.
On top of that sits the cost of being a business you can call back. A Responsible Master Plumber license, with the state board that issues it and the continuing education that keeps it. Liability insurance. Permits and inspections where the work requires them, which a lot of plumbing does. And a one-year limited warranty, which only means anything if the company is still here to honor it.
None of that is visible on the invoice, and all of it is in the price. A lower number from somebody without it is not the same service bought cheaper.

Common questions
What people ask about the price.
What is a dispatch fee?
During regular business hours there is a $99 dispatch fee to come out. It covers a licensed plumber driving to your house and finding out what is actually wrong, which is work whether or not you decide to go ahead afterwards. You are told about it when you book.
Is the dispatch fee the same at night or on a weekend?
No. The $99 fee applies during regular business hours. An evening, weekend or holiday visit costs more, and we tell you the exact figure when you book - before anyone is dispatched, so there is no surprise on the invoice.
Is the dispatch fee credited toward the repair?
No. The dispatch fee is not credited against the repair. It pays for the visit and the diagnosis. The quote for the work is separate, and you see it before you decide.
Do you charge by the hour?
